Little Miss Sicky Poo

As I begin the first post of this blog, I am thinking about the months that led up to its inception and the primary motivation to put my thoughts into written word.  Many people around me asked “why?”.  Well, that’s a good question.  I’m certainly not at a loss for things to do.  I’m part of a thriving family business, I have a husband, two young kids and more animals to care for than I can count on my two hands.  So yes, slightly chaotic and a little too busy is apparently my sweet spot.  But more importantly, I had a great reason.

The answer lies in the seismic shift that occurred in my life when I decided to go primal.  At that pivotal moment, I managed to bridge a gap between my health issues and all of the research and trial and error from years prior. Suddenly, everything made sense and I was definitely reaping the benefits.  Once my health began to improve, I started thinking about the twenty year journey that led me here and all of the knowledge that I’ve accumulated along the way.

I realize that I am not the first person, nor the last that will struggle with chronic health issues.  But I’ve been around the block, and around, and around again, long enough to have learned a few valuable lessons about health and wellness.  I figured, maybe it’s time to share!

The Primal Lifestyle is definitely a big part of what I will write about on Little Miss Sicky Poo, however, there are many other aspects of health that I will explore.  These include:

  • The Backyard Garden: Organic Gardening, Backyard chickens, Composting
  • Healthcare: Allopathic care, Big Pharma, Homeopathic Medicine, Naturopathic Care
  • Psoriasis: Topical Steroids, Immune Suppressing Drugs, Inflammation, Managing Care
  • Fitness: Strength Training, CrossFit, Cardio
  • Stress & Emotional Health: Anxiety, Managing Stress, Impact on Physical Health
  • Recipes: Primal/Paleo Recipes, Primal Kids Lunch Box
  • Ladies Only: Pregnancy, Post Partum, Contraception
  • Extras: Miscellaneous Material

My goal is to provide information that may not be readily available elsewhere, keep you updated about news and events that relate to the topics above, offer my opinion and suggestions and provide a constructive, tactical and a problem solving approach to the topics at hand. However, I make no promises that I won’t have an occasional rant.  Sound like a plan?

Now that we’ve got that out of the way, let’s get started!
